Brainboxes’ Position at the Forefront of Bluetooth™ Wireless Technology Drives Need for New Logo and Branding

July 10, 2000 / News

Brainboxes, the leading European designer and manufacturer of PC communications cards, is pleased to announce the launch of its new logo and brand image. The new logo is a combination of two offset ‘B’s back to back, and encapsulates the idea of the flow of information back and forth. Eamonn Walsh, Managing Director of Brain Boxes, said “The previous logo, which had served us well for many years, no longer reflects the company’s current leading position in Bluetooth wireless technology. The new logo and rebranding allows us to emphasise, both internally and externally, the complete realignment of the company onto the provision of mobile data communications; specifically Bluetooth products and services.”

Brain Boxes have been involved in Bluetooth wireless technology since March 1999 when they exhibited at the first Bluetooth congress in London. Subsequently, they were one of the first companies in the world to show working Bluetooth products, when they demonstrated their PCMCIA Bluetooth card in a Windows CE machine connecting via dial up networking to a Windows 2000 PC at CeBIT in February 2000. Since then, they have showcased the Bluetooth range from Brain Boxes at Microsoft WinHEC in April, CommunicASIA Singapore, and the Bluetooth Congress Monte Carlo, both in June 2000.

This illustrates the company’s commitment to wireless products, and emergence as a world leader in Bluetooth wireless technology. In addition to a wide range of products which turn existing PCs (PCMCIA, USB, RS232) into Bluetooth devices, Brain Boxes offer custom design OEM products, and can modify existing designs for OEM manufacture.
