The LED lights on the Network RJ45 socket (AKA MagJack) indicate whether there is a good network connection or not.

When there is no network connection the STATUS light will flash red/orange, as shown on the Left image below. When there is a good network connection the STATUS light will be solid green, as shown on the Right image below:
