Brainboxes has announced today that it has doubled its sales force over the last six months to meet the increasing demand for its advanced PC based communication card products.
The new appointments follow a period of strong growth in 2000, which has seen major technological developments of its PC add-on cards and Bluetooth™ wireless communication product ranges.
Brain Boxes now boasts a portfolio of over 100 products and currently delivers these through a number of distributors including Farnell, RS Components and ARD Electronics. Stephen Greer, Owen Scullion, Ben McBride and Barry Brett have all joined the sales team to identify and forge strategic relationships with other distributors, OEMs and VARS.
Ian Brew, sales manager at Brain Boxes comments: “We have expanded our product line and have established a reputation as a leading designer and manufacturer of communications cards. The demand for our technology is phenomenal and we expect to see continued growth over the course of 2001.”
Brain Boxes is a rapidly growing company and has recently launched its 3-Port RS232 and Low Profile PCI cards. In addition, the company is a member of the Bluetooth™ Special Interest Group and has been instrumental in the development of serial cards to support wireless communications technology, which saw the release of its Compact Flash Bluetooth card in December last year.
Brain Boxes’ managing director Eamonn Walsh says: “Because of our huge growth and the fact that we are at the forefront of developments in Bluetooth serial communications we have had to make a number of strategic appointments. We are always looking for additional personnel in sales and also across research, development, technical and customer support departments.”
