Brainboxes recently scooped up their third award this year, winning the Best Merseyside Export Business 2005.
Over 500 family businesses, including Brainboxes, gathered last friday at St Georges hall for a glittering celebration at the 2005 ‘Merseyside Family Business Awards’.
The event was the first time a competition has been created to recognise and celebrate the unique contribution family businesses have made to the regions economy, history and culture and is thought to be the largest in the UK.
The competition attracted 160 entries and a huge amount of interest and support from the wider business community.
The judging panel looked at a wide range of areas including family dynamics, length of trading, contribution to the Merseyside economy, special achievements, contribution to the community and promotion of Merseyside outside of the region.
Addressing the finalists on the night, MSIF’s Managing Director Fund Manager said: “We are overwhelmed by entries and support for the campaign to raise awareness of family business issues. Tonight you are all winners in your own right. You have demonstrated unique talents, truly outstanding achievements and thoroughly deserve this recognition. You have made the region proud”.
This award is just one in a long list of Brainboxes recent achievements such as European Electronics Industry Manufacturer of the Year Award 2005 and Microsoft Tech-Ed Best Mobile Computing Product 2005.
This hatrick clearly demonstrates the company’s ability to design and manufacture Serial and Bluetooth products of exceptional quality and reliability whilst maintaining the qualities of a true family business.
